These are all titles from MangaDex where I had local copies saved.
**Requirements to be in this torrent**
* Title is currently marked "Publication: Completed" on Mangadex.
* Title had all published chapters translated and (previously) available.
* Title is currently missing most/all of its chapters on Mangadex (whether from "The Purge" or group drama or whatever).
* Title is currently not found on Nyaa. This condition was checked using a rough manual search of each English title variation.
**What is included**
* Exact rips of the chapter files from Mangadex. No additional image compression, no resizing, no pages removed (credit pages are still intact). If multiple groups released the same chapter, I generally included the duplicates.
* Metadata for each chapter is in a `ComicInfo.xml` file contained inside the chapter CBZ (some readers like Komga can use this data).
* Metadata for each title is in a `details.json` file (some readers like Mihon can use this when reading from a local source). Additionally, there are several other custom JSON fields in this file I used to store additonal metadata under `extra` like:
* `_mangadex` which was the API response from the OLD pre-hack Mangadex (this exists for titles I originally started scraping back then).
* `_mangadex-v5` which was the API response in the current Mangadex API format (this exists for titles I added to my library after the hack relaunch, but prior to the purge. I left this old metadata intact in case I later find out the postpurge metadata was altered).
* `_mangadex-postpurge` which is the API response I got for the title while preparing this torrent.
* Volume covers from Mangadex.
I have to say, mad respect to the regular uploaders here. Preparing this torrent was WAY more time consuming than I expected. I originally wanted to include [ongoing] titles that I have saved as well, but I decided trying to reach that goal would only result in nothing ever getting finished and me never uploading.
Thank you. It's mind-boggling how much work from scanlators the publishers destroyed. Titles that never were, and most likely never will be, licensed in the US.
So zero revenue lost on their part.
If they were never gonna publish it on other countries that means it came from Japanese publishers, which is understandable, every scanlator uses raw scans, which merely a copy of the actual book, that's technically a crime unless it is for personal use. So yeah, they are losing money if they are selling less books because japanese people can just download the whole thing from the internet.
Still dumb as fuck, since a lot of very niche Japanese works I would have never discovered (and even bought the official copy) if it weren't for scanalation.
Heck, I started buying stuff at dliste and DMM. Despite having to go through the hoops to buy there (Dlsite points/DMM points etc)
There's no point for even trying. I have literally 20 JPN sites that hosts JPN raw manga/artbooks etc (There's even here that redirects to their site if you look around carefully *wink wink dlr/az etc).
You cut one, there's multiple heads will come out. When will outdated Japanese companies will learn.
Thanks for the archive, but I hope someone can upload the whole archive before the purge happened on May.
